Plida is an international certificate that certifies the competency of Italian as a foreign language. The PLIDA exam is divided into six levels proposed by the CEFR : A1 , A2 , B1 , B2 , C1, C2. The exams are held twice a year at the Institute Dante Alighieri in Skopje.

The PLIDA certificate is intended for people whose mother tongue is not Italian.  It can be also accessible to all Italian citizens or foreigners whose mother tongue is Italian in need for a certificate of competence in Italian language for study , business or otherwise.

  • Ministry of Education, University and Research for the registration of foreign students on concessional terms (protocol no. 1.906, 9.10.2006).
  • Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (Decree 18.10.2002).
  • Ministry of the Interior in order to obtain a residence permit for EC long-term residents from non-EU citizens (DL 4.giugno 2010).
  • University "La Sapienza" of Rome ( Convention of 29.6.2004 ).
